2. Eligibility
To book an experience or create an account, you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). Bookings on behalf of minors require a parent or legal guardian to be present, sign waivers, and accept these Terms on the minor's behalf.
Specific experiences have strict age and eligibility requirements that must be met to participate:
- Womens Sparring: Participants must be at least 14 years of age. Minors must have a parent or guardian sign their authorization and remain on-site.
- Kids Combat: Tailored specifically for children. Parents or legal guardians must complete all safety registrations prior to the start of the class.
You agree to provide accurate information when booking, including the true age and contact details of the actual participants. Bookings made with false information may be cancelled without refund.
3. Bookings and payment
When you book, you agree to pay the listed price plus any applicable taxes and processing fees displayed at checkout. Prices are in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise.
For walk-in cash payments, a sales tax rate of 0% is applied directly to the cash transaction. All online bookings are subject to standard transaction processing.
Payment is due at the time of booking and is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full payment card number. By providing payment information, you authorize the charge for the booking total.
If a booking can't be completed (slot already booked, payment declined, etc.), we'll notify you and refund any payment that did go through.
Group bookings, private coaching events, and large sparring parties (such as private team training sessions larger than our standard capacity limits) may have different terms—contact us at staff@unitycombatclub.com for a custom quote, and any additional terms will be agreed in writing before the event.
4. Waiver, conduct, and safety
Please refer to our dedicated Participant Liability Waiver for all terms regarding safety rules, physical contact requirements, inherent risks of combat sports, and liability releases. You must sign the physical or digital waiver before participating in any class.
If you decline to sign the waiver, you cannot participate. Because we do not offer refunds, any cancellation resulting from a refusal to sign our waiver will be governed by our strict cancellation and cancellation tier policies.
You agree to follow the safety briefing, the instructions of our coaches and trainers, and all posted mat and gym rules during your visit. We reserve the right to refuse service or end an experience early—without refund or credit—if a participant:
- Is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or performance-inhibiting substances in a way that compromises their safety or the safety of other sparring partners.
- Refuses to wear required protective gear (such as hand wraps, mouthguards, shin guards, or headgear as specified by the coach) or refuses to follow safety rules after a warning.
- Behaves in an unsportsmanlike, abusive, or overly aggressive manner toward coaching staff or other club members.
- Damages our heavy bags, mats, ring, or facility equipment intentionally or through gross negligence (you will be held financially liable for the cost of repair or professional replacement).
Photography and video by guests of their own training is welcome unless our coaching staff asks you to stop to protect the privacy or safety of other members. By visiting our facility, you agree that we may photograph or film the training floor space for marketing, and that you may incidentally appear in those images. If you want to be excluded from promotional materials, you must tell our staff before your class begins.
5. Liability
Our liability is strictly limited as set forth in the separate Participant Liability Waiver which all members must sign.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your visit is limited to the amount you paid for the booking. We aren't liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
We don't waive any liability that can't legally be waived in your jurisdiction (such as gross negligence or willful misconduct under Texas law).
6. Cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling
We enforce a strict cancellation and refund policy due to our limited class capacities and coach scheduling.
- NO TRANSACTIONS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR CASH OR CREDIT CARD REFUNDS. Under no circumstances do we offer monetary refunds back to your original payment method.
- Self-Cancellation Restriction: You cannot modify, reschedule, or self-cancel your booking within 24 hours of the scheduled class start time.
- Cancellation Tiers for Account Credits:
- 72+ Hours Notice: Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the scheduled class time will receive a 100% account credit to be used for future digital bookings at Unity Combat Club.
- 24+ Hours Notice: Cancellations made between 24 and 72 hours before the scheduled class time will receive a 50% account credit.
- Under 24 Hours / No-Shows (0+ Hours): Cancellations made under 24 hours from the class time, or general no-shows, will receive 0% account credit and the booking fee is forfeited entirely.
7. Intellectual property
The Unity Combat Club name, logo, website content, training program structures, and experience designs are our sole property. You may not copy, reproduce, or use them without written permission. You may share photos and videos of your own training sessions on personal social media—we highly encourage sharing your martial arts journey.
If you submit reviews, comments, or photos to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use them in our marketing materials. We won't use your full name without your explicit permission.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It's incorporated into these Terms.
9. Marketing communications
We may send you transactional emails about your bookings (confirmations, reminders, receipts, schedule changes) regardless of your marketing preferences—these are necessary to operate your booking with us.
If you create an account on a site that has marketing emails turned on by default, you may also receive occasional emails about new experiences, specials, and promotions. You can opt out of those marketing emails at any time:
- Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send,
- Visit your account settings at /account/settings and toggle "Marketing emails" off, or
- Email staff@unitycombatclub.com and we'll handle it for you.
Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional emails about your existing or future bookings.
10. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers and announced on our website. Bookings made before a change are governed by the Terms in effect at the time of booking; new bookings agree to the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of TX, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that we can't resolve directly will be brought in the state or federal courts located in TX, and you agree to that venue.
12. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
13. Contact
Questions or disputes? Email staff@unitycombatclub.com or call (512) 975-8294. We try to resolve issues directly before anything escalates.
These Terms were prepared with the assistance of automated drafting tools. They are not legal advice. Unity Combat Club strongly recommends having an attorney licensed in TX review these Terms — and the participant waiver template (managed separately in the Waivers section of admin) — before relying on them. The waiver, not these Terms, is typically the load-bearing legal document for in-person experiences and varies significantly by state._
